What is art?

Of my knowledge of art... I still don't know what is art. I like to consider myself an artist, but what is the true definition of an artist. Someone that is born with the ability to draw, paint, or to envision and being creative? Art is said to be in the eye of the beholder so assuming this everyone is there own art critic... but is everyone an artist. This is going to be my journey to see whether i can figure out my questions i keep thinking about.
